Montgomery To Go To Gettysburg

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, May 3. Field-Marshal Viscount Montgomery will be the guest of President Eisenhower at his Gettysburg farm over the May 11 weekend, the White House announced yesterday. The Presidential press secretary, Mr James Hagerty, in making the announcement, said that Lord Montgomery was coming to the United States specially for the week-end visit. Lord Montgomery, who served with General Eisenhower during World War 11, had a “standing invitation” to visit the President and the May 17 week-end had been agreed, he said. The last time the two met was while the President was recuperating in Denver from a heart attack in the autumn of 1955.
