COMMERCIAL Markets Again Active, Prices Variable
_ Prices were variable in heavy trading on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. N.Z. Breweries, Kauri Timber, McKenzies and National Electric sold at higher prices. Small losses were recorded by Westland Breweries, 8.H.P., Watties Canneries and Waltons.
Turnover comprised £lOOO worth of Government stock and nearly 7000 shares.
