WOOL PRICES RISE

Invercargill Sale

(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, May 2. Fine and medium crossbreds moved in the sellers’ favour, as compared with Saturday’s Christchurch sale, and extra fine crossbreds were also slightly dearer at Invercargill today. Bidding for the 26,000 bales offered was brisk, the Continent and Bradford competing keenly.

The official report says the quality of the wool was fully up to that of the previous catalogues in February and can be considered a good style of offering for thia time of the year. The wool was of good colour but tenderness was prevalent as was the case in previous offerings this year. A considerable quantity of crutchings, lambs’ wool and oddments were offered most of them showing the effects of the

lush season. Range of Prices The official range of price is Southdown, 58/60s — d d. Super .* ..
