Danes Reject Soviet Note
(Rec. 8 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, April 30.
Denmark has rejected a Soviet allegation that she was being used for an advanced N.A.T.O. springboard and as a base for an attack against the Soviet Union. This was announced in the reply sent yesterday by the Danish Prime Minister, Mr Hans Christian Hansen, to Marshal Bulganin, the Soviet Prime Minister, who last month warned Denmark against stationing atomic forces on her soil.
Mr Hansen’s reply reaffirmed Denmark’s desire to remain within the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
“What we are preparing for is to be able to defend ourselves should it become necessary,” the Danish Prime Minister’s reply
