COMMERCIAL Woolworths Shares Again Firmer

Woolworths shares rose further in trading in Christchurch yesterday. After a late sale on Monday of a large parcel at 17s Bd, a transaction was made yesterday at 17s 9d—ls 4d above last Christchurch business before the Easter recess.

G. J. Coles, quoted ex bonus for the first time yesterday, were wanted at 16s, compared with 21s paid in Wellington. The Wellington sales were presumably made cum bonus of three for 10. Commercial Bank of Australia were fractionally lower in a sale at 14s lOd. Otago Daily Times were firmer in a sale at 51s.
