Heavy Floods In Texas

(Rec. 8 p.m.) DALLAS (Texas), April 2D. At least nine rivers and countless smaller streams poured their floodwaters over cities, towns and farms in Texas today. New thunderstorms and rain soaked the State for the eleventh day. The worst flood danger was in the central and south portions of the State. Eight hundred to 1000 persons fled from the Guadalupe river at Victoria, a south Texas city of about 45.000 people. Houston, the State’s largest city, was hit by floods for the first time.
