Altered Exchange Rates
The £ sterling depreciated a fur- • ther .25 cents in teims of Canadian dollars last week, but made a slight ! gain on the United States dollar. Alterations to these telegraphic transfer rates—the only ones affected j last week—were notified as follows vesterday by the Bank of New South I Wales:— N.Z. on New York: Buying, 2.7857 dollars to £NZ.I (compared with 2 7851 dollars on April 23); selling. 2.7542 dollars (2.7536). Montreal: 2.6710 dollar* (2.6734); 12.6364 dollars (2.6340).
