PIPE BAND’S TOUR OF BRITAIN
Government Support Promised (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 29. The City of Wellington Highland Pipe Band, New Zealand championship winners for the last three years, which intends to tour the British Isles next year, has been promised financial support by the Government, through the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr S. W. Smith). An organising committee to raise funds is being formed from Wellington citizens and will include the Mayor (Mr F. J. Kitts, M.P.).
