Cut In Army Budget
LONDON, April 29. The Government today announced a cut of £lOO million over last year in the 1957-58 Army budget, and said Army strength would be cut from 373,000 to 335,000. A Government White Paper on the Army said the Estimates for 1957-1958 would be £401,400,000. It also announced that all British forces would be withdrawn from Korea during the forthcoming year.
