COMPETITION IN FIRST AID
St. John Brigade Results The annual first-aid competitions for ambulance cadets of the Christchurch corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade were held on Friday and Saturday at brigade headquarters under the direction of Mr G. J. Hutton. Results were:— Senior First-aid Cup- (for best team of four cadets).— Wharenui Division (Sergeant R. A. Pannett, Cadet R. D. Hutt, Cadet R. J. Worley, Cadet A. S. Andrew), 207 points, 1; No. 3 Division (Sergeant B F. Daniell, Corporal J. W. Toner, Cadet D. M. Povey, Cadet P. J. Reed), 185.25, 2; Y.M.C.A. Division (Cadet P E. Lints, Corporal S. M. Gibb, Cadet M. C. Harper, Cadet M. Wright), 173.50, 3. Milne Cup (for best team of four cadets under 16 years of age).— Y.M.C.A. Division (Cadet J. D. Wallis, Cadet D. Tulloch, Cadet A. Kitchen, Cadet B. Hack) and Combined Team (Sergeant D. Rastrick Cadet J. P. McFedries, Cadet K. R. McCausland, Cadet R. J Jones), 168.75 points (equal) 1; Wharenui Division (Cadet P. J. Tremewan, Cadet C. R. Tremewan, Cadet D. B. Akins, Cadet M. D. Palmer), 163.75, 3. Rees Cup (for best team at improvised first-aid methods).—Y.M.C.A. Division (Cadet P. E. Lints, Corporal S. M. Gibb, Cadet H. C. Harper, Cadet M. Wright), 79 points. 1; St. Matthew’s Division (Corporal B. Geddes, Cadet A. Straw. Cadet P. Pahi, Cadet A. Trotter), 78, 2; Wharenui Division (Sergeant R. A. Pannett, Cadet R. D. Hutt, Cadet R. J. Worley, Cadet A. S. Andrew), 77.5, 3. Glasson Cup (for the best individual cadet under 16 years of age).— Cadet J. D. Wallis, Y.M.C.A. Division, 63.25 points, 1; Cadet P. J. Reed, Christchurch Division, 62 points, 2; Sergeant D. R. Rastrick, Combined team, 60.5, 3. Roller Bandaging.—Cadet P. J.
