MANY PLAYERS

Injuries, military service, and holidays often cause havoc with the composition of senior cricket teams during a season, and the Canterbury Cricket Association’s season was no exception. Although there were only 88 senior players at the start of the summer the number had grown to 141 by the end of it. Old Boys led the way with 20 players., Lancaster Park and West Christchurch each had 19, Sydenham and East Christchurch 18, Old Collegians 17, Riccarton and St. Albans each 15.
