ENGLISH ARCHITECTS’ VISIT
Welcome To N.Z. By Minister
(New Zeatana Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 26.
“The more visits we have from people in high positions in England, the better for them and the better for us,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr- S. W. Smith), extending a welcome to the president and secretary of the Royal British Institute of Architects (Messrs K. M. B. Cross and C. D. Spragg, respectively), at a morning tea gathering in Parliament Buildings today. Such visits could do a great deal towards preserving and further strengthening, the strong bonds of goodwill between the two countries, said the Minister.
“If you can persuade the people of England to eat more New Zealand butter and meat, and enjoy paying a higher price for the privilege of doing so—well, I leave that to you,” he added.
