Rugby League INTERNATIONALS AT AUCKLAND
British And French Teams (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 25. Two international Rugby League games will be played at Auckland in July after the World Cup series in Australia. Britain will play France on July 6, and two days later a team drawn from these two teams will play New Zealand. The British and French teams will return to Australia on July 9 and 10 and from there will go on to South Africa, where they will play an exhibition match organised by the Transvaal National Sporting Club. Christchurch Player Breaks Leg (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 25. W. Middleton, Christchurch Rugby League player and winner of the award for the most sporting player at the Marist tournament in Wellington during Easter, is in the Wellington Public Hospital with a broken leg. His leg was broken in a tackle by A. Reichleman, who won the award for the best forward in the tournament. Reichleman has concentrated on weight-lifting and barbells over the last two years, and built himself up from 12 stone to 14 stone. He won Kiwi honours three years ago as a five-eighths, fcnd is now seeking them as a second or back-row forward.
