POTATO CROPS IN OTAGO
Digging Delayed By Wet Weather (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 25. Taieri potato growers are becoming anxious about their season’s crops as a result of continued wet weather, but they do not yet expect serious losses such as have been reported from the main Canterbury growing districts.
No digging of potatoes has been possible on the Taieri plain recently because of the weather. Some weeks ago. blight appeared in some crops but the extent of loss cannot yet be calculated.
