Hockey J. C. Tynan Retires
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 25. The New Zealand and Wellington hockey centre half, J. C. 'Tynan, has announced his retirement from serious hockey. Tynan, who is 30, led New Zealand’s first Olympic hockey team last year at Melbourne.
Tynan has been appointed secretary. and will also be a playing member, of the newly-formed Trojans Club, a group of former internationals who aim to provide this hockey equivalent of the Barbarians and Centurions in Rugby.
