DIAGNOSTIC STATION
Farmers To Hold Conference An invitation from the South Canterbury Provincial Executive of Federated Farmers to send representatives to a conference of South Island executives to discuss proposals for the establishment of a diagnostic research station in the South Island was accepted by the North Canterbury executive at a meeting on Wednesday. “If we want a diagnostic station in the South Island we have got to get together and the only way is by a South Island conference,” said Mr R. McKenzie. The proposals for a station at Canterbury Agricultural College and Invermay should be put before the conference.
