EDEN’S CONDITION IMPROVES
(Rec. 8 p.m.) BOSTON, April 24. The La hey Clinic today reported that the condition of the former British Prime Minister, Sir Anthony Eden, was continuing to improve. Sir Anthony Eden, aged 59, was operated on for a bile duct obstruction at the New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, on April 13, after flying from New Zealand. The bulletin added that Sir Anthony Eden was still unable to see visitors, except for his wife.
Foreign Secretary Petitions for Divorce.—Britain’s Foreign Secretary (Mr Selwyn Lloyd) has filed a petition for divorce, it was disclosed in London tonight. It was understood that the petition was on the ground of Mrs Lloyd's alleged adultery. The co-respond-ent was named as a Mr Martin Lubbock. —London, April 24.
