Many Canterbury Rugby enthusiasts have already noted several players from Canterbury they regard as certain to grain places in the New Zealand team to tour Australia. One of these is W. J. Whineray, of Lincoln College. Whineray promises to be as good as K. L. Skinner or J. G. Simpson. He has the ideal build for a front-row forward, and is tireless in the tight. He is also an accurate and powerful goal kicker.
