Best Seller in France.—-The best selling book in France, next to the Bible, is the 50-year-old combined dictionary and encyclopedia, “Le Nouveau Petit Larousse Illustre,” according to an estimate published by the review “France Actuelle.” More than 14,000,000 copies of the book have been sold since the “New Illustrated Little Larousse” first appeared in 1906 as a shortened form of the “Grand Universal Dictionary of the 19th Century” produced by the grammarian, Pierre Larousse, in 1856. At least two editions appear every year to keep abreast of development in language.—Paris (Reuter).
