West German Army.—West Germany’s armed forces will place their first three mechanised infantry divisions under the command of N.A.T.O. on July 1, according to Defence Ministry sources. This date is laid down in the Ministry’s over-all plan for the build-up of the Federal armed forces which aims at 12 divisions by 1961. —Bonn, April 20.
