We in New Zealand are fortunate to live in a society in which the individual's freedom of choice is, generally speaking, unlimited. ft is the product of an economic system known as free, competitive private enterprise. It caters not just for a majority or a minority but everyone. This economic system discovers a want: it fills that want. A product becomes dated obsolete: it is improved or taken off the market. This is possible because free enterprise operates on the free, fluid basis of supply and demand. You demand: free enterprise supplies. It operates without coercion. It operates efficiently.
