TABLE TENNIS
YOUNG FARMERS’ TOURNAMENT
Fifty members of Young Farmers’ Clubs played in a table tennis tournament for clubs in the Christchurch district. The tournament was organised by the Eagles Table Tennis Club. Winners were:— Men’s Singles: A. Ascott (Boys’ High School Club). Runner Up: K. Boulton (Darfield). Men’s Plate: G. McGrath (Boys’ High School Club). Men’s Doubles: T. Ferguson, M. Baxter (Sheffield). Teams competition:—Boys’ High School A 34 points, 1; Darfield 31 2; Sheffield A and Ellesmere 18 (equal) 3.
