BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL BEATS WEST HIGH SCHOOL

The Boys’ High School team won the annual hockey match with West Christchurch High School on Thursday by three goals to two. The game was played at Hospital corner. B. Skudder scored after a forward movement by Boys’ High School after about 10 minutes of play, and later added another goal from a penalty. West attacked strongly in the second half and evened the score, one of the goals coming from a penalty corner when Oakes scored smartly off a rebound. About 10 minutes from time Skudder broke through to give High School a 0 one goal lead. West attacked but the Boys’ High School defence held.
