PRICE OF SOAP

Sir, —I would like to know why the price of soap and soap powder continues to rise. We hear lots of radio programmes sponsored by , soap companies and very expensive prizes are given away. Surely, if they can afford to do this, why not give the general pttblic the- benefit of cheaper soap, etc. It is becoming a luxury now, and still a necessity that we cannot do without. —Yours, etc., SOAPLESS.
