NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEVY PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of Section 54 of j The Rating Act, 1925, that it is the intention of the Waipara County Council at its next meeting to be held at Waikari on August 9, 1954, to make and levy a General Rate of One and five-eighths of a Penny (1 5-8 d) in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property , appearing upon .the Valuation Rolls of the , Waipara County: a Special Rate of One and seven-eighths of a Penny (1 7-8 d) in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property in the Lake Sumner Special Rating Area: and a Separate Rate of Three-fourths of a penny (3d) in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property in the Horsley Down Drainage and Water Supply Area: such rates to be for the period of 12 months commencing on April 1, 1954, and ending on March 31, 1955, and shall be due and payable in one sum at the County Offices at Waikari on August 16, 1954. Public Notice is < also given that pursuant to Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1925, the Waipara Cdunty Council has by resolution, decided to allow to every ratepayer a rebate of Sixpence (6d) in each complete pound of so much of the amount of rates payable to him as is paid before the expiration of Thirty (30) days after the due date thereof.
