LABOUR DEPARTMENT BILL
CONSOLIDATING MEASURE INTRODUCED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 22. A Labour Department Bill, introduced in the House of Representatives today, consolidates the Labour Department Act, 1908, and its amendments, and incorporates the Employment Act, 1945. The existing provisions have been redrafted where necessary, and the present name of Department of Labour and Employment has been dropped in favour of Department of Labour. A consequential amendment abolishes the title of Director of Employment.
