England won by 44 points to 14 w? leading 20-6 at half-time. y®. after half-time, an incident betwo opposing players turned • a general fracas with players of sides standing toe to toe and frying punches at one another. The »’ continued until police broke up excited players and onlookers who jrushecLon to the field. Ugland’s captain, J. Cunliffe, helped Sc? the trouble, but soon afterwards was another outbreak, about six ■ from each side being involved. & Cunliffe had to stop the fighting.
