OFFICERS OF N.Z. CONFERENCE

NEXT ANNUAL MEETING AT WESTPORT

Four clubs had not voted in an election for the executive, said the president 'Mr A. L. Hutchinson (treasurer), Mr J. E. Farrell, Mr A. Ferguson and Mr G. C. Cruickshank (South Island representatives on the executive) were re-elected. A postal ballot was held for two representatives from the North Island on the executive. The election resulted: Mr R. J. Rolfe, 19 votes- Mr L. G. Reiger, 16; Mr A. G. Downes, 12; Mr N. Simpson, 11: and Mr W. W. Massey, 6. Messrs Massey and Rolfe were sitting members. It was decided by 21 votes to 15 that the next annual meeting be held at Westport. Hooker (Taranaki) at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Conference in Christchurch yesterday. The matter had been fully investigated by the board, said the president (Mr A, L. Matson), but lack of telephones was the main oostacle.
