Patriarch’s Plea On Jerusalem
AMMAN (Jordan), July 6. The Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox community in Jordan today protested to the United Nations Truce Supervisory commission against alleged Israeli attacks with mortars and automatic fire on the Holy Sepulchre and other holy places in Jerusalem, it was officially announced. . _ , ~ In his note to Major-General Vagn Bennike, chief of the commission, the Patriarch demanded that the United Nations prevent further “barbaric aggression” against the holy places and peaceful inhabitants.
