CROWN CLAIM FOR FORFEITURE
DISMISSAL MOVE FAILS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 6. An application seeking the dismissal of Crown informations claiming the forfeiture of four cars allegedly imported from America in breach of the Import Control Regulations failed in the Supreme Court today. Mr Justice Hutchinson ruling that the case must go on. The Crown’s claim was adjourned on April 28 until last week for one of the American parties to attend. On the same ground the case was adjourned again until next Tuesday, but counsel for the defendants today argued the dismissal application. The original defendants were Harold Counsell, a motor dealer, of Lower Hutt, Clyde Henry, a public utilities operator, of California, and Mackay Motors, Ltd.
