A 100-MILE-AN-HOUR TRAIN.—This American experimental train, shown at Boston at the end of a demonstration run, has attained a speed of 102.8 miles an hour. The train consists of a diesel electric locomotive and six articulated units. It is only a quarter of the weight of an ordinary train of equal size, and its guided axles permit it to take curves at high speeds.
