OBITUARY

MR O. E. STOUT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 23. The death has occurred of Mr Olaf Erik Stout, youngest son of the late Sir Robert Stout and Ladv Stout. Born in Dunedin in 1889, Mr Stout wa£ educated at Wellington College, and continued his studies at Cambridge University, where he graduated B.A. and LL.B. He spent several years in England before the First World War, and was a barrister at law at Lincoln’s Inn, London. On returning to New Zealand, he practised in North Auckland, and later came to Wellington He was a single man. A sister is Mrs Trevor Holmden. of Auckland, and his brothers are Mr J. Logan Stout, formerly senior stipendiary magistrate in Wellington. Dr. Duncan Stout, and Dr Robert Stout, all of Wellington.
