IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that it is the intention of the Lyttelton Borough Council at an Ordinary Meeting to be held on Monday, July Bth, 1946, to MAKE AND LEVY the undermentioned rates upon Lyttelton, for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1946, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1947, payable in one sum at the Town Clerk’s Office, Oxford street, Lyttelton, on the 12th day of August, 1946. 1. A General Rate of Two Shillings and Sixpence in the £ made under provision of Section 77 of “The Municipal Act, 1933.” 2. A Hospital Rate of Tenpence in the . £ made under Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” and "The Rating Act, 1925.” 3. (b) Upon all land and buildings to which water can be, but' is not supplied sitqate within one hundred yards from any part qf the Waterworks, a rate of one half the respective Rates mentioned in Clause (a) hereof. (c) Upon all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for any purpose other than as dwelling houses, a Rate of one half the rate mentioned in Clause (a) hereof. Minimum charge where water is laid on Ten Shillings. 4. A Consolidated Loan Rate of Sixpence in the £ made under the provisions of the Lyttelton Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1935 and the Rating Act, 1925. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED THAT the Valuation Roll is open for inspection without fee by all ratepayers during office hours, which are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday to Thursdav, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
