Maori Child’s Death.— When a young Maori boy was lying seriously ill at a house at Opahi, in the Kawakawa district last week-end, flood waters surrounded the building, and his mother was unable to get in touch with a doctor. The child, Maru Peepe, aged five months, died on Monday night from gastro-enteritis.—(P.A.)
