LILI KRAUS
Heralded as the premier musical attraction of 1946, Lili Kraus, the international celebrity pianist, makes her debut to Christchurch audiences on Thursday, July 4, in the Civic Theatre. Touring the Dominion under engagement to the New Zealand Broadcasting Service. Lili Kraus opened her Auckland season on June 20, where enthusiasm ran high at the opportunity of hearing one of the foremost woman pianists of the age. Her gramophone recordings and her triumphal tour of Australia earlier this year speak volumes for her standing as an international celebrity, and critics everywhere are unanimous in praise of her artistry. Well known on the Continent end England as an authority on the earlier German masters such as Mozart and Haydn, the Lili Kraus programmes contain many gems from the pen of these composers. Lili Kraus is making only one appearance at Christchurch on July 4. The box plan is at the D.1.C., and details are advertised. Advt.
