Vie Patrick to Retire.—The Australian light-weight champion, Vic ■Patrick, who on Monday surrendered his welter-weight title, announced to-day that he would retire from boxing within 12 months, In the meantime McQuillan will continue as hi# manager. Patrick is still keen to fight as a lightweight, and said that he would Tike to meet Ron James, the Brlugn &nipire champion, or a leading light-weight. Stadiums Limited, has now named Tommy Burns, A. L.
