CONSIGNMENT OF ORANGES

FIRST SALES FOR SIX MONTHS

For the first time for about six months oranges were on sale in Christchurch yesterday. The shipment of 1000 cases, which arrived on the Holmglen, is not expected to last very long. The oranges are of the island variety and will be sold by retailers at 7d per lb, the same price as that ordered last year.
