Rangitata Hare Drive.—A successful hare drive was organised by the Rangitata Miniature Rifle Club and about 40 guns shared in the day’s sport. Five round-ups which were made below the railway line in the morning brought in a catch of 99 hares, while another 96 hares were brought from another five round-ups from above the railway line in the afternoon. Lunch and late afternoon tea were provided in the local hall for the shooters and was served by women of the district. The captain of the club (Mr S. Cain) thanked thef shooters “and all who had helped to make the day so successful.
