Telephone 33-706.1 Studio, Commercial and Candid Photographers. 9213 I LOCAL BILL IN THE MATTER of a proposed Bill or Act intituled “An Act to provide for the dissolution of The Waimakariri Harbour Board and the transfer of the functions of the said Board to the Kaiapoi Borough Council and to make certain incidental provisions.” PURSUANT to the provisions of the standing orders of the House of Representatives relating to Local Bills The Waimakariri Harbour Board HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that Application will be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled at the next sitting for leave to introduce a Bill intituled “The Waimakariri Harbour Act, 1946.” THE object of the Bill is to provide for the dissolution of The Waimakariri Harbour Board and the transfer of the functions of the Waimakariri Harbour Board to the Kaiapoi Borough Council and with the exception of the lands described in the first and second Schedules hereto to vest all property real and personal, belonging to the Board in the Corporation of the Borough of Kaiapoi for the estate or interest of the Board therein and with respect to the lands described in the first Schedule hereto to vest the same in the Corporation of the Borough of Kaiapoi as a reserve for scenic gardens and recreational purposes and with respect to the lands described in the second Schedule hereto to vest the same in the Corporation of the Borough of Kaiapoi as a reserve for a Soldiers’ Monument and Memorial garden and to make provision for the creation of a separate account in the books of the Kaiapoi Borough Council to be known as "The Waimakariri Harbour Account” and to direct that one-third of the income of that account shall for a period of twenty years be utilised exclusively as a fund for the rebuilding and replacement of the block of buildings erected on Lot 7, Deposit Plan 919, and known as "Hansen’s Buildings,” and to make further and subsidiary provisions in regard to the said account.
