Honours Lists.—No approach by the authorities or the National Patriotic Yund Board for information or names of local persons deserving recognition in honour lists was made to the Otago Provincial Patriotic Council, said the secretary (Mr A. E. Russell), referring to complaints from Auckland on the same subject. “In no official quarters at Dunedin has it been found possible to discover exactly who selected the individuals for honours, and it is felt that recognition has been denied prominent workers in patriotic movements,” he said.—(P.AJ
