Sir,—Would the Traffic Department detail one of its inspectors, not just for one day but a week, to note the violation of speed and other breaches of the law made by the Midland motor buses. The way they pass the trams and wedge the cyclist into the gutter is simply scandalous. This is happening repeatedly and complaints are numerous. Is there any reason at all why Midland Motors should use Papanui road for its northern business? Surely Papanui road is congested enough.—Yours, etc., T _ VIOLATIONS.
