Meat Shortage in New York.—A meat crisis developed yesterday, when half the butchers’ shops in New York closed. The remainder had almost no meat for sale, and 1000 delicatessen owners decided to sell meat only in sandwiches until further notice. Meat was available, however, in most restaurants.
