“GRAVE MENACE TO PEACE”

The Chinese Communist leader, Mao Tse-tung, in a statement issued from his Yenan headquarters, said that the United States Army and Navy forces in China had become a grave menace to national peace and security. He added that the Chinese people felt that, the departure of the American forces was lone overdue. Their presence was # fundamental cause of the civil war in China, and therefore the Communists would resolutely oppose American military aid which, in tact, only interfered with Chinese internal affairs.
