FOOD SAVING CAMPAIGN

SIGN TO BE ERECTED IN SQUARE A large sign representing “Famine” will be erected in Cathedral square this week as part of the Christchurch Famine Emergency Committee’s campaign for the saving of food coupon's The public will be invited to stick coupons on this sign until it is completely covered. It is reported that the Red Cross depot established in the Square is proving most successful. A considerable amount of fat and a large number of coupons have been received there. In addition, many tins and packages of food for Britain have been left at the depot.
