In Washington, Mr Nahum Goldman, American representative on the Jewish Agency for Palestine, predicted in a talk With the British Ambassador to Washington (Lord Inverchapel) that the British would have to kill 10,000 Jews in Palestine if they sought to disarm the Jewish groups in that country. Reporting his prediction to the press, Mr Goldman said there Were 60.000 to 70,000 Jews in Palestine who would not allow themselves to be arrested. “They will fight for their own selfprotection and will not be disarmed unless the British organise a mass massacre.”
