MR HOLLAND’S OPINION (PA.) WELLINGTON. June 20. *. confident that we can see a considerable improvement in the chances of our party.” said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr S. G. Holland), at the Dominion conference to-day of the National Party. “The year 1946 is a year of opportunity, and people throughout the country are looking forward to it as a year of emancipation,” he said. “Our desire is to provide the sort of eminent that is worthy of acceptance by the people of New Zealand, and not merely to get into office on the demerits of the other party.” Mr Holland was received with cheers, and the 350 delegates present sang “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.”
