A fine exhibition of knitted and sewn garments, made by members of the sewing circle of the Catholic Women’s League was on display at an afternoon social held by the league at “Maryknoll” yesterday. These garments will be distributed among needy persons in the city. The Mayoress (Mrs F. Hardy Cookson) spoke appreciatively of the work being done by the league for those in distressed circumstances. Songs were sung by Mrs Cara Cogswell and the accompanist was Miss K. O’Connor
