No warrant of fitness: Thomas George Al cock, 10s; Terence G. Kennedy, 10s. Passing stationary tram: Hugh L. Jennings, costs only. No silencer on motor-cycle; Richard C. Campbell, 10s. Exceeding speed ' limit: Raymond M. Keys, 20s. Overloading a taxi: Victor Mattar, 20s. Parking for more than permitted time: Edward B. Reilly, 10s; J. Roy Smith, 10s. No driver’s licence: Patrick Thomas Lilley, 10s (no warrant of ftiness, costs only); Norman H. Thackwell, 20s; Herbert Henry Wilson, 20s (no warrant of fitness, 10s); Robert John Young, 20s (no warrant of fitness, costs only); The following cases were brought by the Transport Department:—Defective lights: Allan Samuel Farquhar, fined 20s. Exceeding 40 miles an hour: Bernard Mark Cunneen, fined 20s. Cycling at night without a light: Brude Mason, fined 20s.

CIVIL COURT (Before Mr Raymond Ferner, S.M.) ORDER FOR POSSESSION An order for possession was made against G. O'Callaghan, in favour of Eric K. Kibblewhaite, the order to take effect from August 19. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES Judgment summonses were dealt with as follows: J. Wootton was ordered to pay Walter Fairbairn, £3 9s forthwith, in default four days’ imprisonment. W. E. Bartram was ordered to pay the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Ltd., £7 8s forthwith, in default nine days’ imprisonment. L. C. Boskell was ordered to pay M. R. Morgan, £l6 4s 6d forthwith, in de-r fault 18 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended as long as 10s a week is paid.
