LANCASTER PARK
Sir,—l have read with interest the letters on Lancaster Pane. I am not a supporter of either Rugby code, but I am concerned as a citizen who contributed to the Commercial Travellers’ appeal. Apart altogether from the rights or wrongs of the present dispute, a change of control for the park seems overdue. Improvements at the park are necessary, but this can hardly be achieved by the present gate allocations—2s per cent, to the Board of Control and 75 per cent, to the users the Rugby Unionk And, referring to finance, the board is required by the act to exhibit its accounts and balance-sheet each March (in a prominent place at the park). Few go there in March, and I would appreciate the opportunity of examining the finances for the last four years. Could these be deposited at “The Press” office for examination by the public?—Yours, etc., IN NUCE. June 14, 1946.
[The secretary of the Lancaster Park Board of Control had no comment to make on this letter.]
