PLEASANT POINT “ The Press ” Special Service TIMARU, June 17. With the exception of fat lambs, all classes were well represented at the stock sale at Pleasant Point. The sale of fat cattle was slightly easier. Store and fat sheep fully maintained late rates, in fact good fat sheep hardened somewhat. Store cattle were also keenly sought. Prices were: Fat Cattle.—Best steers, £l4 to £l5 12s 6d. others. £ll to £l3 17s 6d; best heifers, £9 to £ll 17s 6d, others £7 to £8 17s 6d; extra good cows, £l2 to £l4 12s 6d, good £lO to £ll 17s 6d, others £7 to £9 17s 6d Store Cattle.—Cows and runners, to £l6 2s 6d; steer calves, to £6 ss; heifer calves, £5 to £lO. Dairy Cattle.—Springing cows, £l7 to £24. 1 Store Sheep.—Two-tooth wethers, 25s to 335; best wether lambs, 22s to 245, others 17s 3d to 21s; best ewe lambs, 28s to 30s lOd, small 18s to 21s. Fat Lambs.—Best. 28s to 30s; others, 23s to 275. Fat Sheep.—Bests wethers, 41s to 455, medium 36s to 40s, light 33s to 35s lOd; extra good ewes, 28s to 31s 4d, good 25s to 28s, medium 22s to 24s 6d, light 17s to 21s. 1
